Silver Gelatin Prints
I specialise in hand printed silver gelatin prints from black and white negatives. While my focus is on fine art printing techniques I can print from any size negative on any size paper up to 12 x 16 inches. I use Museum Standard processes and materials.
I can print based on my own interpretations of your negative, for a flat fee per print, or you can work collaboratively beside me for an hourly rate.

Some bonuses that come with working collaboratively beside me may include, up to 2 different types of paper developer and using different filters for global contrast control and burning and dodging for local contrast control as well as cropping. These will add some time to the overall process. But again can be discussed at length before commencing printing.

- Museum Quality(Fibre Based Paper)
- One to one printing at an hourly rate. (Your choice of Fibre Paper or resin paper)
The Process for having silver gelatin prints made from your negatives?
I can collect your negatives from you, or you can deliver them to me at my studio. I prefer NOT to use postage here given the fragile nature of most negatives
If you have some particular needs or wants we can discuss these in advance during the exchange.
I print usually on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.
Depending on the size of the print/s and amount will depend on the time it will take me to return your prints and negatives.
Once I have returned the negs and prints you deposit the payment into my bank account via direct debit.

Scanning
I can scan colour negative film and black and white film, 35 mm to 5x4 inches, and prints up to 8x10 inches. I can also scan slides or positive film.

Workshops
My photoshop workshops used to run over a weekend from 10 am to 3 pm, but no longer run. The course was aimed at beginners to intermediate skill level, and would leave you confident enough to open, work on, and save files amongst many other functions. This service is currently in hiatus, contact me if you want to be added to the email list that announces its reopening.
However, I do offer one to one tuition in Adobe's Photoshop, and Lightroom. As well as Apple's Pages and Keynote and several other packages of software.
